This nutritional yeast is a delicious, non GMO, vegetarian superfood containing 8 grams of protein per serving.  Nutritional yeast contains both essential and non-essential amino acids and has long been used by vegetarians and vegans as a high quality source of protein and amino acids. Nutritional yeast is naturally rich in selenium. It is produced from a specially selected strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae that is grown on molasses under carefully controlled conditions. Nutritional yeast can be added to just about any savory dish.  We like ours on popcorn, baked potatoes, in soups and casseroles and even as a vegetable topping.  Nutritional yeast does not encourage the growth of candida or any other yeast.
