Catnip- Not Just for Cats
If you have a cat it probably makes great sense to plant some catnip in your herb garden. Your cat will love you for it but it might just come in handy for you too. Catnip leaves can lower fever, dispel gas, aid digestion and sleep, relieve stress, stimulate the appetite, and reduce anxiety, pain and stress. Catnip is also helpful for the common cold or flu and to reduce inflammation. To reduce a fever quickly, catnip tea enemas can be used. That said, if you prefer to eat your catnip, you will benefit from it's calcium, chromium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, potassium, selenium, silicon, and zinc.
